At MACH 2010 on Stand 5546, cutting tool specialist Industrial Tooling Corp (ITC) will be giving a multitude of new products their UK exhibition debut. Among the new innovations will be the new 2132 Cyber Series of two flute extra long series PCD Ball Nose End Mills.
As a market leading tooling supplier to the aerospace, motorsport, mould & die and medical industries, ITC has extended its PCD range for the CNC machining of abrasive materials such as graphite and metal matrix.
The 2132 Cyber Series is an ITC development that has been led by customer demand for rigid and robust tooling for machining cavities and intricate components. The solid carbide shank with necking for extra reach provides an extra dimension to machine shops producing difficult parts from abrasive materials. The new 2132 Ball Nose Series compliments ITC’s already proven and remarkably successful 2111 and 2102 series of PCD cutters. The PCD range has delivered astounding results in the marketplace with productivity improvements, extended tool life and enhanced quality levels all being provided to leading manufacturers that machine difficult materials.
Visitors to ITC’s MACH Stand 5546 will also be shown an expansive range of new products that will include a completely new range of drills and form machining tools. One of the new tools is the 2141 Cyber Series range of two flute drill-mill cutters with a 90 degree included angle that compliments the company’s popular new range of 4111 Series chamfering tools. The back chamfering and countersinking 4111 Series has been developed at the company’s Tamworth manufacturing plant to conduct front and back chamfering or circular interpolation countersinking of holes and slots in a variety of materials. Alongside the new products, ITC will be showcasing new innovations that will be available from the new Hanita/Rubig combined catalogue, for which ITC is the UK distributor.
Besides its remarkable range of cutting tools, ITC will be highlighting the potential benefits of the extended range of Air Turbine Spindles™ from US manufacturer Air Turbine Tools®. With a series of spindles that deliver machine compatibility and spindle speeds that go beyond anything available from competitors, the success of the spindles to date has been remarkable – with instances of complex moulds taking seven hours, now completed in 55 minutes.
Designed to improve the spindle capability and productivity levels of machine tools, the new Air Turbine Spindles™ can be utilised for high speed drilling, milling, slotting, and engraving to enhance cycle times and surface finishes. Air Turbine Spindles™ offer speed ranges from 25,000rpm to 65,000rpm with motors from 0.2HP up to 1.4HP, with 650 spindle delivering feed rates up to 3.5m/min in hard tool steel.
With the exception of Hanita/Rubig, Metal Removal and Air Turbine products distributed by ITC, all cutting tools are manufactured at ITC’s state of the art grinding shop in Tamworth. The UK based manufacturing facility is probably the best equipped CNC grinding facility in the UK, boasting a host of new CNC grinding machines. ITC has invested in computerised optical measuring equipment to maintain the high standards the company is renowned for and its centralised oil filtration system guarantees that tool grinding takes place under optimum conditions in clean oil to ensure repetitive accuracy. It is this investment in delivering product quality that has given ITC a considerable capacity for special cutters with outstanding speed of reaction, quotation and delivery that is supported by specialist technical advice and tool design capacity. For manufacturers that cant come to see us at MACH, further information on ITC products can be obtained by calling Tel: 01827 304500 or by contacting your local ITC representative.
