On stand 5198 at MACH 2010, Advanced Carbide Tooling Ltd (ACT) will be showing the exceptional flexibility of its Nine9 Series of cutting tools. The innovative Nine9 range of indexable cutting tools enables the end user to interchange a wide variety of form tool inserts and grades with a single toolholder.
For the duration of the MACH 2010 show, the Hinckley based company will be offering visitors starter kits that will be available to buy from the company’s stand. The starter kit will include a toolholder, three indexable engraving inserts and a torx key. The engraving inserts have two cutting edges and are available with a 45 or 60 degree angle and 0.2mm radius. The submicron carbide grade inserts have high positive rake angles and ground relief for universal applications on Non- Ferrous to Heat Resistant exotic Alloy materials. The latest coating technologies offer extremely good cutting edge life.
The highly adaptable Nine9 tooling system is extremely cost effective, providing the customer with interchangeable inserts for engraving, spot drilling, centring and corner rounding machining operations. All this is can be achieved with a single toolholder to drastically reduce tooling costs as well as reduce tool changeovers to ultimately improve productivity times for the end user.
Further exemplifying the flexibility and cost benefits of the Nine9 Series, ACT will also be offering promotional packages on its corner rounding insert series. Corner radius inserts are available with radii from 1 to 6mm; again each tool holder can accommodate different sizes. The Nine9 corner radius inserts can reduce tooling costs and changeover times associated with costly solid carbide radius tooling, whilst improving production and quality beyond existing competitor products.
ACT will be offering the cost benefits and user friendliness of the corner radius range with a MACH Offer ‘starter pack’ for this exciting new tooling concept. The corner radius starter kit will include a range of inserts with differing radii to offer customers a cost effective solution for all its machining needs. With a number of starter kits available at MACH 2010, ACT will deliver much improved productivity benefits whilst reducing costs for anybody visiting stand 5198 at MACH.
With a cutting tool series that can offer engraving, chamfering, grooving, spotting, centre drilling, counter sinking, corner rounding, facing and turning with a single toolholder; ACT is confident it can follow the remarkable success it achieved at MACH 2008.
